2021 Legacy Pinot Noir
Legacy wines are only made when the vintage dictates the fruit quality is exceptional. A cool spring and summer presented pristine Pinot Noir grapes that ripened slowly over an extended period of time. The fruit was hand picked and the wine was made using old world wine making techniques, time and patience. The wine was bottle aged for 6 months before release.

Three clones of Pinot Noir grape were hand picked at optimal ripeness and transferred to the winery. The grapes were crushed into custom French oak Puncheons with large openings in the heads for earlier integration of oak characters and unique fermentation dynamics. Whole berries in the ferment lend to the wines’ delicate fruit notes while the additional heat of ferment brings savoury characters and richer tannin structure. The barrels were gently hand plunged. After pressing the wine was returned for maturation in the same barrels.
